I just bought a 14 ft. jon boat, it's 40 inches at the bottom. Is this big enough to put casting decks in?

That'll be a problem when its only 30 degrees outside. lol

My main concern is that one of the rivers I am going to be fishing is very shallow in some spots, as in like 6 inches and I'm not sure if I could get a v bottom through that. This river doesn't have a boat launch either.

Well, There will be 2 people and about 75 lbs of tackle. The jon would be 36 inches wide too.

I am looking into getting a small boat for electric only lakes and small rivers. My question is, How shallow of water will a 12 ft. v-hull boat float in? And how shallow of water will a 12 ft. jon boat float in? Thanks Billy B
