    Jig question

They need to keep in mind though that this depends on the depths your gonna be fishing. If your fishing in 30+ft of water, in the wind....its tough(if not near impossible) to fish only a 1/4oz jig. Now up to 15-20ft, you could get by with a 1/4oz pretty well any time. Just depends on the...

    Good all purpose rod

What do you currently use the Cherrywood for? That could help narrow down what you want to use the other rod for.

    Tinboats tournament of champions

Exactly, This is why I suggested basing it around points, instead of individual species. I realize that not everyone has musky in their area, or even has the tackle to target them if they wanted. Everyone could join in, and we could base the points off of how common the fish are caught, and...

    Tinboats tournament of champions

What about a points thing? The larger the fish, the more the points? Like me for instance....Here lately Musky has been my thing....but I might only catch 1-2 of those a month if I really go after them(and lucky) every weekend. A musky would be more points, but obviously someone fishing for...

    Jig question

I like to fish a jig alot. For trailers, I just recently found one that I like....It's made by Zoom...it's called a "Creepy Crawler Twin Tail"...its basically like a twin tail grub, but a smaller profile which makes for a nice trailer. I also really like the Net Bait Pace Chunks, but the "claws"...

Here are a couple I would seriously look into if I had the coin..... Lowrance X-125(not color...but supposed to be a good unit) https://www.threeriversmarine.net/catalog/item/2521272/1980299.htm Eagle Fishmark 640c(A nice color unit, Abit over your price limit, but for the color feature, IMO...

    New Rod in the future

I wouldn't rule out the St. Croix Legend Tournaments. :) Or if you could find a deal on a Loomis Mossyback, those are sweet rods as well. :) The ones in the 6'6-7' range run just a tad more(typically) over the Cumara's.

help : best 12 foot/3person tinboat for pickup truck bed

I would look into a 1236 jonboat if I were you. Typically abit heavier than a 1232, but the added stability is definetly worth it.

    Got me a new rod!

Actually, The induron was replaced by the "Akena"...same exact insides, it just uses a cast casing instead of a machined casing.

    Got me a new rod!

I love it! They are abit tip heavy, but i'm looking into getting a balancer to go on the butt end of the rod to fix that. I have a 6500 C3 Abu on mine at the moment, but am gonna be looking into another reel sometime. I would like to get one of those Okuma Indurons, but unfortunately Okuma no...

    Star Point Resort???

Don't NOT let him because of me....Heck, he may get down there and get one. But from everything i've read about that lake, Trolling 30-40+ft deep is the only real productive chance you have. Not saying its not possible, but not-likely. :?

    Star Point Resort???

Just let me know. The only difference in Float n' Fly to using a slip bobber, is you can't. The jigs you use(most commonly 1/16oz) are so light, its hard to get the line to "slip" through the bobber, so most people just us a stationary bobber, thus the need for a long rod so you can...

    Star Point Resort???

Honestly, I wouldn't waste my time for musky on Dale Hollow. There is one guy that I know of that guides on the lake, but all they do it troll...which in my opinion is boring as i'll get out. And the way they troll, you really have to have special gear to troll at the depths they do(30-40ft+)...

    recessed tm foot control???

Thats kind what i'm wondering about. Not really sure if it would be worth the trouble of trying to make it myself. And i'm sure that one would be better quality(welded, powdercoated, etc) than the one I could come up with...haha. :(
