    1969 StarCraft OFFSHORE V

Before you move ANY OB ... have someone else at the helm and peek over the stern, where the vent plate should be just skimming the surface of the water. Ususally - if anything - OBs are set TOO deep. You should just see it at the surface as per below, this a V6 on a 26" setback bracket, so I...

    TriHull vs Deep V hulls

That's because there aren't 2 ... but 3 of them! Soft V - 12 degree deadrise or less, pound, pound, pound in any choppy sea state! But takes the least HP for good performance, very stable at rest Mod V - 14 degree deadrise to 18 degrees or so, good compromise for performance vs ride vs power...

    Boat seam sealant?

Seams - THE BEST … as it is flexible and Gluvit is not, West Systems G-Flex 650. Look on my name, as I have posted a few tutorials for seam repair using it. Found one: https://www.tinboats.net/threads/using-west-systems-g-flex-650-‘flexible-epoxy’-on-leaks.40954/

Feedback on setup for permanently moored boat for parents

HULL - Welp, Hell of a difference in price and other size-related factors between that of a 12’ for 2-3 or a 16’ w/ OB for 5 to 6 on board … TIN - I leave mine in the salt 24/7 from MAY to OCT, but the bottom was coated w/ Steel Flex and then expen$ive ‘made for tin boats’ anti-fouling ablative...

Anyone else admit to an OOPSIE!

FYI, I found some top-rated “Anchor Alarm” apps for iPhones, where one of the best is FREE! Set it for say a 100’ radius zone (I’ll need for tidal saltwaters … ) & if your phone goes outside that zone - your phone alarm goes off - sweet!

Not 'tin' but my skiff is! Man oh' man ... I sure got LUCKY on this one! Now THIS will wake you up ... ! Now I have never set an 'anchor alarm' whilst staying on a 'known' mooring in the 50+ years of running my own boats (at least those with cabins for sleeping), even though GPS Chart Plotters...

I made a CORRECTION to the photo, as the solar array in on the REAR of the light, so if you leave it on your helm with the lens down ... it'll recharge by the sun.

20hp Suzuki - prop brand recommendations

See if they have a 4-blade for that 115, you won’t have a blazing fast WOT, but otherwise the hole shot & all-around performance can be awesome! Make sure that OB is not mounted too deep!!!!! That kills a boat’s performance almost as much as wearing the wrong pitch prop! Less where too steep a...
