Help! Lower unit will not come off!

Yep, shift rod is disconnected. Feels like the drive shaft is stuck.

Help! Lower unit will not come off!

I have a Yamaha F25. Trying to replace impeller, have all the bolts removed and it will not come out. It has loosened a little, about 1/4". Any advise?

What are you storing on your boat?

Anchor, lots of extra rope, pfd's, rain gear/extra clothes, thirsty mate, water, fire extinguisher, couple fenders, first aid kit, extra drain plug, tool kit, Tackle/rods(trip specific).

    14' Lund makeover.

If it was me I would probably cut a little triangle out of the center of each piece of foam to make sure the water can easily drain. Kind of a pain but it will never be easier than it is now. Foam will still give plenty of support for your floor.

    14' Lund makeover.

Make sure you leave enough room for water to drain.

Steel core or all aluminum blind rivets?

    2nd the ditto!

Marine tex for crack in nose

I would think that it is plenty strong the way it is. More layers will may make it less flexible and more likely to come off. Just my opinion.

First build - 16ft Duck Boat

Thanks! I had a ton of fun working on and obsessing about my boat all winter long. Splash pan wasn't that hard to install, trickiest part was installing the drain tubes(didn't have the flair tool so I used some clamps and a ball peen hammer to do it). If I had to make another one I wouldn't use...

    Hull Painting

I wouldn't paint it. If you are worried its too bright just let it oxidize.

    Could I run dual motors?

Yes! There is a thread with a guy running 2 9.9 or 15 hp motors, it was pretty badass!

New boat with questions about draining - v hull

I drilled a couple extra holes in mine and try to keep it tilted up as much as possible so the water drains. If only I had a garage!

    1996 16' Lund Laker Project

I have been out fishing in the boat several times and it much better than I had imagined. Love it! More room, comfortable, rides great, quieter since I am away from the motor, and new configuration keeps the dog where I want him. Did a couple more little things in the last week or so. Ordered...

    16' lund refurb platform question

I have a 96' Laker and I had my front deck exactly how you describe for years. I worked just fine. I have rebuilt the boat and changed it but if you check out my thread you can see the old deck during the tear down.

    sealing riviets

Gluvit works great but should be applied to the inside. 5200 is a caulk, not something to coat the entire boat with. Great for individual rivets and to seal bolts and thru hull connections.

New member/poster...need some opinions on an asking price

I am no expert either but the price seems ok. Boat seems to be virtually new so price doesn't seem too out of whack.
