Berkley Lightning rod Shock. WITH PICS

I love the reel. Can't be beat for the money I agree.

    Jig question

For sure! As long as they catch fish, thats my main concern. Durability won't be an issue because if they work I will practically stock up on huge amounts.

    downriggers, need advice

I agree with you. A dipsy diver would probably be wise. But if you want to get near 100% precision then you would need a line counter reel with some braided line. Add an "O" ring to dive even deeper. You also can set what direction you want to go with levels of 0-1-2-3 either left or right. To...

    Jig question

Thanks man! For sure I would let you know! Would love to try 'em here in Canadian waters. I heard about net bait but the durability is abit low but as long as it catches fish. Hey no problem. I always wanted to fish jigs properly but never really had much success. Thanks alot! For sure I would...

    First for me

Good catch. Reminds me when my trolling motor control board burnt and had to use the kicker motor to maneuver.

    downriggers, need advice

I think you would get away with using a 4lb weight. I downrig for salmon between 60-150ft down.

    Jig question

Thanks for the reply guys, I picked up some booyah jigs and strike king bitsy jigs. I will post pics later on. I will be sure to practice these techniques and surely take notes! As for trailers. I got the rage tail craws and yum chunks! I still need to pick up other kind of trailers to see what...

    downriggers, need advice

I almost fish salmon exclusively on the great lakes with Big Jon downriggers. I run 13lb pancake weights with a slight offset on the keel so it veers slightly away from boat. I troll about 3-3.25mph on GPS so a heavier weight is nessesary. How fast do you troll first of all?

    Jig question

Hey guys. I am curious as to techniques to fish jigs and what kind of trailers (if any at all). Pretty much how to fish them. I never really fished a jig much and I want to start fishing them more often so any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Great report! Nice fish! I wish I could get out to these get togethers. Sometimes makes me wish I lived where my girlfriend was from so I would be closer.
