Artificials were not the way to got today. I got one blow up on a frog, but he dropped it before I could cross his eyes. Nothing else doin on other baits either. Even the live bait bite was slow. I watched a good bass cruise through a school of shiners, and I believe I caught her a little later in the same spot at the corner of the dock. She's an old one. Beat up and scarred with a big mouth, but not a big body.

That is a nice one. Bigger than some of the ones I saw yesterday at the Bassmaster Southern Final Day weigh in at John C Land Landing in Summerton.
