Owned for 25 years and never got to take it out.

You could put a sub floor in, even with the bottom of the seats and put the floatation foam under it. Get some 5-7" pedestals and seats. Then turn the rest of the seats into storage, hatches in the wood or flip up. That will give you the safety of the foam, storage, some good even fishing...

    Transducer separation from prop wash

Sorry to say but that isn't going to happen. SOund NAvigation and Ranging works by sending out sound waves of a certain frequency and looking for the reflections. By the time the reflections from a fish (relatively small) get back you are way past it. It works the same whether looking downward...

    Got a new airboat!

I could use that right now in Florida. Heck I might be able to fish for 3 hours in the morning with that cooling me down.

    My 1st* boat. A 1960 Arkansas Traveler 15' UT

No it's not removable. But this is the first version. But I might try to make the next one removable, to make it easier to put a cover on. Mine sits right in front of the second seat and was a pain to step over. I needed a way for it to be behind me but not on the motor and not blocking a...

Need Lots of Help No idea where to start.

Finding Tiny Boat Nation is part of the reason I went with an aluminum boat for my first boat. He's got videos on transom replacement. Yes, removing the center seat will weaken it structurally, but building the framing correctly will bring the strength back and possibly more (CORRECTLY is the...

    My 1st* boat. A 1960 Arkansas Traveler 15' UT

My initial reasoning for getting a tinny was to turn it into a Tiny Boat. But since she's in better shape than I am and 15 years older, I'm debating keeping her as original as possible (going to add the side console for remote steering though). One of the previous owners removed all the foam...

    My 1st* boat. A 1960 Arkansas Traveler 15' UT

Hello, I just found this group and had to join. I bought my 1st (I bought a 14' tinny 9 months ago as a project boat for $60 but it is a much bigger project than I thought but that'll be another thread once I start working on it) fishing ready boat a couple months ago. It's a 1960 Arkansas...

Looking to pickup this V14, thoughts?

Did you get it? If not be patient, the right boat will pop up. I waited about 6 months till I found mine (I'll start a thread after I post this) but $1900 for a 1960 Arkansas Traveler with a 99 15hp 4 stroke Yamaha and a 2015 Continental trailer.
