Won't hurt it. Remove your grates and pins when you change your sleeve. I usually throw a little grease on my pins when I reinsert them.

Not enough HP and the hull is not designed for it either. What you have is a row boat that you can put a motor on to supplement rowing. It was never meant for planning speeds. That is why it has the oversized keel that acts like a skeg; to keep the boat tracking when rowing.

Hydroturf. You can get some free samples to check it out. Great product, second only to Seadek for the absolute best floor covering for boats.

You can either have an open floor plan or storage. You don't get both. Not sure if you bought the boat new, but if you did slicing it up will void your hull warranty. Maybe not ideal but you can use a storage tote to store stuff and keep it out of the way. Stuff will stay dry.

Brother is right. That' not a really a bench...it's a beam that you can sit on; it's structural. Patching the holes somewhat depends on size and location of the hole. Post some pics of what you're working with.

Looks like my seal has failed on my carrier bearing. Pushing out a lot of water when greasing at the end of the day. Just started this weekend. Anyone have a tutorial on replacing the seals and/or the bearing or have advice on it please share. How about cost of doing this DIY vs mechanic...

I would mount it forward with switch on console and make a holder for the handheld.

I used RAM mounts for my lights -- 360 adjustment, removable, no sharp/hard edges. Plus have a remote controlled Gobee light, and an 3 million candle handheld spotlight. I don't light mounted mid-ship; always causes glare unless you have a super tight focused beam of light.
