Old timers formula on a deck?

I have used it on my boats but it was covered with spar varnish after a couple coats Thinking I will just soak with the oldtimers and nothing on top of that.

    Picked up a 1971 6hp Evinrude Fisherman

I just boughtt another project boat that came with a a 1969 6hp Evinrude that looks and runs like new. I have to give it a good once over (waterpump ect) before I take it out on the lake but seems like a good little motor. I think you will really like it once you get it going good. I had one...

    Mirro worth repairing?

I would go for it. Take and mark all the rivets that leak them and reset them and go from there. I just fixed a old Lund up and that took 3 trips out to get them all but no leaks now and just reset them. I did use some Locktite marine in the seams after they were reset but that was more of a...

Best way to seal riveted seams?

I used the Loctite as it was available and I had used it before with good results. Difference might be more than just brand but Loctite is good. I painted my seam with rustoleam after it cured.

Best way to seal riveted seams?

Not sure if its the best way but I just did this to a old Lund. I cleaned out the outside seam best I could with a old screwdriver and sanded it so it was shiny then cleaned it with rubbing alcohol. I used a Loctite marine sealant from Menards just on the outside seam and it worked great.

    84' vs 76' Johnson 9.9

I believe they will interchange but to get to the water tube you would have to pull the powerhead unless you are lucky and it has a extension kit on the longshaft. You can go to one of the parts sites and check part numbers to be sure.

Thanks for the ideas! Ended up using the pressure washer. Took the fuelcap off one end of the old metal tank and gauge off other end and it worked great.

    Old crystialized gas

Old crusty gas in the bottom of a steel OMC tank. Anyone know of a good way to clean it out. Its gummy and kind of soft. Tried to leave a mix of fresh gas and oil mix in it over the winter and that seemed to soften it a bit but still stuck in a lot of it. Tank is in good shape other than that as...

    Merc 7.5 venturi?

After checking a place online it doesn't look like it would work. My carb isn't listed on the ones it fits. So does any one know the part number for a wmb-4 7.5 carb venture? The online parts places I tried didnt list a part number separate for it?

    Merc 7.5 venturi?

I have a 1985 Mercury 7.5 with a broke venturi-one of the wings is missing. My carb is the wmb-4 and there is a tillotson carb that can also be on this outboard according to the parts list. I can find the one for the tillotson carb but not for the wmb-4 carb. Part number for the tillotsun is...

    Old 2 blade brass prop

I picked up another 9.9 Evinrude today and it came with a 1955 5.5 Johnson outboard. Got kind of interested in the old 5.5 so I thought I would tinker on that a bit and found it had good compression and spark and the new style fuel line with pump was already put on it!! I will get it running...
