    1992 Spectrum BlueFin

It does but you have to use the right glue. The ONLY stuff I've found is the DAP HHR (high heat resistant) glue intended for landau car roofs.

Trolling Rod setup for Jon boat?

I have flush mount bases for Ram mounts and I'm pretty happy with them. They're well made and adjustable. They make three different style mounts, one of which might work for you.

rolling paint on an aluminum boat

I used foam rollers on mine. But I also went with Rustoleum Hammered paint so that imperfections will be hidden and any touch ups blend right in.

    Continuous hinge supplier needed

It's the length of the item. By the time it's packaged correctly to prevent damage you're looking at least at a 8 1/2 tube or box. When you get into long lengths there are additional charges from the shipping companies (UPS & Fed Ex) which will be passed on to you.

    Wire port for installing electronics

I found these at work and gave them a try as wire pass through ports when installing electronics. They're rubber doughnuts for use in semi-truck air line glad hands. Drill a 1 1/8 hole and they snap in. They'll prevent chafing, are pretty waterproof, and can pass a wire bundle 5/8 in diameter...

    1992 Spectrum BlueFin

Covered in black and blue Nautolex it has a removable top for maintenance. The bow panel was covered in black Nautolex. The rest of the bow deck is covered and parts are being mounted. The bow FF is mounted on a track to allow it to slide from side to side depending on which side is...

    1992 Spectrum BlueFin

New center storage/deck panel fabbed. With it's gas struts it will lift and hold even when the seats in. In the rear the one large deck panel was refabbed into a three piece rear deck for ease of maintenance. Also an aluminum hatch was made to cover the battery storage compartment. The on...

    1992 Spectrum BlueFin

With a new front deck panel fabbed and covered it is obvious how much room was underneath. Now to fab a deck extension/storage area. Aluminum tube and angle and aluminum sheet and double wrap hinges and the storage area was roughed out. Lots of storage now.

    1992 Spectrum BlueFin

I purchased this boat last summer and as it was my first boat I ran it till December as is to get an idea of what I wanted to change. One of the things that had to change was how the front deck ended just behind the front seat making for quite a drop for someone in the seat. The center...

    Nautolex/contact cement problem

If you have scraps of Nautolex left try different solvents on them before you try cleaning the stain. I installed Nautolex on my boat and used lacquer thinner to remove a glue drip or two but it was still fresh at the time.

Carrying Boat Open Side Up on top of Truck Cap

Plus the right side up mounting will create aerodynamic lift at speed which might make your truck unstable in handling.

    Metal Hole Saw

They have them at Menards in all sizes, unibits also.

    Boat cover where are you

I picked up a fitted one at Menards for $50 odd dollars.

    Substitute adhesives

I just redid my boat with nautolex and used the solvent based contact cement (DAP?) available at any hardware store. Give each piece a coat, let dry, and give one surface a second coat and let get very tacky, almost dry. Put the two together and rub the surface wearing gloves, nautolex is rough...

Main power off switch for charging and wire guage?

The wire in marine cable is tinned for that reason.

Main power off switch for charging and wire guage?

Why not go with a fine strand marine wire? I just ran 4 gauge in my boat and it very flexible and easy to use.

    Rustoleum Professional ?'s

I just painted my transom and gunnels with Rustoleum Hammered and it went really well. Good finish and coverage. The texture hides any imperfections. When I strip the sides I plan on using the Profesional aluminum primer first.
