I was getting 28 up and 31 down with my 1648 grizzly. Im getting 33 up river with my 115/80 on my crestliner vt17. I havent checked my speed coming down.

Crestliner VT17

Yesterday I took my 2013 Tracker Grizzly 1648SC down to Halls Marine and traded for a 2014 Crestliner VT17 Pro Edition with a 115/80 Mercury Optimax Jet. Had it out this morning for about an hour just playing around. I love this thing.

Yes, the jackplate helped out alot. i still have a little spray but i installed a splashplate and now i have no complaints. Clocked it at 31mph with me and the wife and our gear, using my gps speedometer. I dont think i will get any faster than that.

nothing fancy, they are the bass pro camo seats, the same ones that come with the tracker grizzly. I bought my boat without the seats and trolling motor.

My new seats arrived and I just ordered my new trolling motor. The minnkota edge 24v 65lbs.

Here is a pic of my homemade splash plate, designed to not have to drill holes or weld and it is removable, and it actually works.
