LOL..... I used to be a big fan of mercury outboards but seems like the past few years their quality has gone downhill . I bought my first Yamaha in 1994 which is the same outboard('89) that I have today.

Unfortunately without a serial # cost is going to be difficult. However here is a link to the parts associated with that type of OB. Pricing may be higher or lower , but having to buy a tiller setup piece by piece is going to be $$$$$$$...
