Bow support bunk or bow roller.

I have the exact same issue. I installed a keel roller/bow roller, but have noticed that the black rubber one has split in two in the 4 short months since it's been on there. I realized today while looking into it that it isn't supposed to support weight, though I had mine supporting weight...

    Rivnuts

I finally got tired of my fishing partner complaining about the screws working loose out of the back seat pedestal base. I ordered some rivnuts and the manual tool that requires two wrenches to set the rivnut. I very pleased with how easily and well the tool worked. I had my worries but it set...

    Trailer Parking

I had to google geo grid because I had no idea what it was. I assume it keeps the gravel from sinking into the mud? So it would need to be of a pattern that is smaller than the gravel size correct?

    Trailer Parking

I like the idea of the open pavers. TN it's a short straight shot for me. 48' of tire tracks only shouldn't be too bad. I've got the wheels turning in my head.

    Help picking a trolling motor

I guessed at 45" for a 1448 with a good attitude in the water. So far its perfect, really rough water might be tough.

    Upgraded trolling motor questions

I completely agree with onthewater. I've got a 70 on the front of my heavy 14 and it'll throw me around on hi if I start it turned.

    Help picking a trolling motor

I have a Riptide, and this thing is beefy! In the past I've had several Endura's and haven't broken the mounts on any, but the mount on the Riptide is a whole lot beefier.

    Big Foot Trolling Motor Switch??

If it's already on a remote, why do you need a foot switch? As a back up to cut down on accidentally hitting the remote while casting or pulling fish in? If you're gonna wire one in to any motor above say a 30 lb, I highly recommend wiring it to a solenoid that breaks the main power. The switch...

    Trailer Parking

I have to park my boat and trailer inside the fenced in backyard, but pulling it out and backing it in through the slightly inclined side yard has turned it all into a muddy rutted mess. It got so bad that the skinny little trailer tires just dug in this past weekend and I couldn't push it any...

wood or aluminum for deck frame?

Aluminum! It was intimidating at first but turned out no harder to work than wood. It's lighter, stronger, won't rot, and takes up less space.

    Finished!

    Looks good.

    Polar Kraft 1448 Flat conversion

It still isn't 100% but I'm in the high 90's. The pics only show the two decks, but I actually got all the carpet done, including up the sides of the pink foam in the middle. I lost a bearing buddy on the highway to the ramp today somehow, I'm not too worried about it. She floated, both motors...

    Bunk length

    Also a **** good idea.

    Bunk length

You're probably right. Good thing I have two long 2x4's sitting around somewhere. I may just have to do it in the parking lot at the ramp.

    Bunk length

I've got a 1448 with a Riptide 112 on the back. I just noticed that my bunks stop a few inches short of the transom, and something's bowed or curved because they dont make contact for a few inches past the ends. Since I don't have a heavy gas motor hanging is it a big deal?

    Polar Kraft 1448 Flat conversion

Almost there! Both motors are mounted, wired, and working. I got carpet laid on the front deck with the help of friends. I replaced the trailer wheels and bearing and finished all the plumbing and wiring.

    YJs 1236 Semi V Mod

For sealing the hull I used Gluvit on the inside and Steelflex on the outside. You're getting some good work done.

    Bow Mount Bracket

Boom, I'm tired of over thinking everything. Teflon tape and nylon washers everywhere SS meets Al. Marine epoxy plus 3/16 structural aluminium rivets, and 1/4 20 SS bolts up front. The Phillips screws are just to align the bracket, they'll be replaced when the motor goes on.
