Mercury 25hp has power but doesn't turn over

Hi guys, I only got this boat last year and still learning things about it. Today i tried to get the boat started up for the first time this year but it doesn't seem to be turning over. It just makes a buzzing noise when i turn the key. What can cause this? I have uploaded a video to my dropbox...

    Question about a possible purchase

I'd purchase it for $2200 assuming it all checks out as advertised. Do you guys need titles for motors down there? In Minnesota, we don't register the motors.

SeaArk 1542P - First boat taking some small steps

The capacity plate says manufactured by SeaArk. I tried to confirm with SeaArk one time too, but the rep helping me didn't know much about it since he may not have been around in the early 2000's. However, I was provided specs and pictures for the SeaArk 1542P and they all match my boat.

SeaArk 1542P - First boat taking some small steps

So I guess my boat was in fairly good condition the way it was already, but I disliked the old, stinky, almost rotting floor the previous owner had put in about 10 years old and wanted more storage space. Work hasn't been as crazy the past couple weeks so I decided to replace all the carpeting...

    Any Frequent Fliers???

On very large planes like this, I try to avoid sitting in the way back due to the time it takes to get off the plane. It's not a ton of time in the grand scheme of things, but I get ancy when there's a bunch of people standing up waiting to get out around me especially at the end of a long flight.

    Tilt and trim question

I had a CMC PT-35 and one of the support mounts cracked on it just a few months ago (I believe the previous owner had installed the unit about 5 years ago). Further research into this showed me this isn't a completely isolated problem. I have been trying to source replacement brackets for it...

    boat insurance?

you should check with your insurance agent to a clear answer on whether your coverage extends.. renters insurance generally does not jave same provisions as homeowners from my understanding

    boat insurance?

I just double checked by insurance info, i'm covered for $2,800 limit for boat, motor, and boat equipment plus $400 for trailer at $75 per year. My interpretation is that's the most they would pay out if I had a total loss. My deductible is $100. Based on their defn of boat equipment, my...

    boat insurance?

I have boat insurance through State Farm. I am covered for a maximum value of $2800 (boat, motor, trailer) and pay less than $80 for a year. Here is a response I got from the rep. working with me on some scenarios that could play out since I also have homeowners and auto with the same company...

    Harbor Freight Trailers

You can pick up one of those light testers at Menards for about 6 bucks. worth every penny, especially if you have older cars and want to make sure electrical harnesses work properly before spending hours ripping apart trailer lighting that works fine.

    First boat build.

Most people on here would suggest 1/2" plywood if you think the ribs are far enough where the plywood won't flex/bounce. 3/4" would be more than enough if you want to spend a bit more money and have a bit more weight. I just picked up 5/8" for my boat last night, I think that's a good in between...

    transducer mounted correct?

My sonar doesn't allow me to run dual band, so I don't think that will be an issue I can try adjusting the sensitivity. Does it make a difference what side of the engine the transducer is on? I can move the unit, but would prefer not to drill anymore holes and leave holes unused if not required...

    transducer mounted correct?

Im trying to assess if my transducer is mounted correctly or if there's something wrong with it. Over the weekend, i was on a river and the sonar would show depths of 6 to 8feet but i was clearly in only 2 feet of water... the mount was already on the boat when i purchased with no FF. I...

    Trolling Motor Battery Cable Extension

just cut off the battery connections at the end, solder longer cable and heatshrink it to cover it back up. It's not hard at all, just be sure to use the correct wire gauge. Minnkota has a site for their specific models, but it'll give you a good idea for yours. I used the wires from an old...
