    Tried FireLine

I as well tried Fireline when it first came out. Hated it. I use powerpro and love the stuff. I haven't noticed any difference in performance as far as spooking the fish. I use the green coloured stuff. The best part of braid I find as well is getting out the knots on the baitcaster (you know...

The rod helps when you get those 10-15lbs fish on with the lite leader. A lot of times the fish are line shy, that is...

    Jon Boat vs V Hull

Here's the deal, in the next month or so I will be buying a used boat with my father in law. I have read all about the differences in the V hulls, Modified V hulls and jon boats. The problem is I can't seem to decide what type to go for. It will mostly be 2 adults fishing. Mostly smaller lakes...

    STEELHEAD

I use a 13' float rod with a centerpin reel and a float. The center pin reel helps with the drift. I know people who use old baitcasters though, and take out the drag so it just spins freely, and use your thumb as a drag. I also fly fish. I use roe (if allowed) or Berkley Power Bait pink worms...

    STEELHEAD

I fish steelhead alot in the rivers. I can help you out there, but I have never done it on the lake. Actually all I do is river fish right now, as I don't have a boat yet, but which I am hoping to buy this spring.

    My Boat

looks awesome. I found this site as I am looking at picking up a boat this spring, and then fixing her up. I love this look as it is relatively simple (i'm not the most skilled with tools) yet it looks great.
