    Alarm question

Loading and unloading with a jet is much easier than with a prop, once the learning curve has passed and it becomes instinctive. You just can't quickly rear steer with a prop. Get out in the open sometime and play around, noticing how you can pull the rear.... changing the direction of the...

    New intake assembly

I purchased the urethane foot from Wolldridge. I have not installed it yet but I will report the progress. I expect it to speed up, not because of the Urethane foot but rather a new liner that is gouged badly. However, it is 17 years old. So you could expect such. My foot is not trash yet but...

    Jet height and angle

In my experience, non tunnel, the leading edge of the jet foot is higher or level with the boat hull. The rear of the foot or heel is about 2+inches lower.

    Converting jet back to prop

In my experience, non tunnel jet. It required minimum of 5 inches lower mounting of the motor. I had my holes drilled in such a way that I used the bolts holes without need of redrilling. I once had an old CMC jackplate that traveled 8 inches. It worked great giving me bottomed out for a prop...

    Temp Alarm

I have not had my Temp alarm go off in a long time. Years ago, it would go off often if I sucked up trash. In recent years, it has not gone off once even though I continue to suck up trash and have had issues getting it to pee again. It's a 2004 Yamaha 150F outboard Jet intake. Does anyone know...

    Bottom Coat

Not really looking for anything to make it slick. But rather help protect it from gouging from when I do get on something. The river I fish is full of big rocks, shallow passages from one area to another. I'm thinking something like a spray in bed liner for a truck. But I'm asking because I...

    Bottom Coat

I'm looking to do something to the bottom of my hull to protect it. Its a 24 ft SeaArk with 150Yamaha Jet. It's 18 years old and probably wearing thin in places. Especially the corners. I don't know what all options are out there. I suspect, for protection that I should weld an angle along both...

    New intake assembly

Any recommendations on a new intake assembly for a Yamaha f150? I see Wooldridge has a carbon type version. Mine's beat all to he11. Been welded on twice now. Ground back so far the pins are covered with smeared metal. The fins... do they offer anything? Without sacrificing clearance? The...

    Custom Pods

Yea, I plan to bolt on lightly and trying before welding to the boat

    River boat mods

I also wonder, maybe the entire jet is not large enough for the motor. Foot, prop, bell housing, etc?

    Custom Pods

Looking for some fabrication input. My boat don't need pods, but it could have some advantages. I have always said that if you buy a new boat with pods, you bought the wrong boat. Pods are an addition type thing. You could have bought a boat 2 feet longer. So, I bought the boat I needed...

    River boat mods

Just found this forum. The boat is a 24 ft SeaArk, custom built by myself in 2004. Yamaha 150f . Only 400 hours on it from taking a 14 year break from fishing. Getting back out on the water again. I'm in need of some experiential knowledge. My boat's due for new grates since I have straightened...
