    I bought a set of pedestals from Springfield scratch and dent, they are the manually adjustable ones from about 23-30 inches, which is just a little too high to run the trolling motor from....has anyone ever tried to cut the post of the pedestal down...I would guess it would be from the portion...

    I also cut the piece for the face and ordered my seat bases and pedestals, and got the carpet, hopefully I can get some water sealer or paint on the wood tomorrow then start on the carpet, any ideas on what would be best? I know that it is not perfect and is wood, which won't last forever, but...

    I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on seat pedestal height, I would like to put some sort of pin setup, one for fishing, and then be able to take the pedestal off for steering for the back.
