    Question about transducer mounting.

I would use nuts and bolts if it will protrude on the inside. Put the 5200 in the holes and around the underside of the bolt head. Then some around the bolt on the inside of the bolt before putting a washer and nut on it. Leave no room fro water penitration.

    Throttle lock for Trolling

This worked for my15HP Mariner. If your throttle is spring loaded there is a friction bushing in the handle. You can tighten the bolt through the bushing to increase the friction on the shaft going from the handle to the motor. I tightened mine enough so it stays where I put it as by default it...

    Planer Boards

Those would be inlines. You don't have a separate line to them so no need to tie them to a cleat on the boat. They clip on your fishing line. When you catch a fish you need to reel it in to the board un clip it and keep reeling to get to the fish. They should work great for what you are trying...

    Planer Boards

If you are only running a few lines then I would suggest not running planer boards but use inline planers. I can run 2 of these off each side of the boat. I have a few churches Walleye boards and they work great. I have also had the offshore inlines but prefer the clips on the churches. If you...

    Bearing Maintenance

As long as you are doing what you are and continue to get clean grease out of them with no water I won't do anything more. As soon as you get grease and water you know its time to replace the seals and you might as well do the bearings too.

Cutting hole in factory seat full of foam, see a good way.

Putting a dead short across a batteries is a bad idea and COULD cause the battery to explode. Propane torches are cheap if you wish to heat up a rod but I will just use a hole saw or a long keyhole saw.

    Lets see your anchor systems

Hey great. It is a neat system you have. Lifting and deploying the anchor from the bow can be a pain when you just need to move a few feet or so when fishing.

    Cutting aluminum sheet

Plywood blade backwards in a skill saw works for me. Put some masking tape down on you material so filing don't get under the shoe plate and scatch it up as it slides.

    Lets see your anchor systems

You do release a stern anchor is a safety hazard. I am not saying don't do it as I have done it but beware that a boat can be pulled underior swamped with a stern anchor. Your experience may vary depending on the local water you fish. But in current and waves be careful. Boat courses will teach...

    fold away trailer tongue

How heavy is the boat? I don't need a foldaway for my 14' Aluminum but could sure save some space by putting one on my Fiberglass boat. She's about 4000 LB and 2000 LB for the Trailer. 6000LB altogether.

    24 volt trolling system dilema

I also would agree. Get yourself 2 new 12 volt deep cycle batteries and keep them separate from the starting sytem. An on baord charging system for them would be an added bonus. It is important to draw from and charge equally for long battery life. That is one of the reason not to use one for...

    Where to paint? Garage?

If your garage is in the basement make sure you have some kind of fans or vents. Paint fumes and thinners will collect and you could have an explosion potential.

My best fishing trip ever was today!!!!!

Good Job. Zum, Yes White bass and white perch do look a lot a like. The big difference is the white bass have lateral lines. His third pictice shows those lines well.
