Thanks... I guess my other main concern is the ability of the MV to handle rough water better... Will it be that much of a difference? I know it's not going to cut through like a true V-hull, but will it atleast help a bit? the 1436 really jerks when the flat nose hits a wave/wake!

I have a 1436 now... I'm thinking about buying an MV1448 I ride in the intercoastal gulf a lot and the 1436 is a bit small for me if I bring someone, and I hope the MV will help out with the rougher waters. A lot of the places I go are really shallow so a 14' deep-V probably won't work for...
