    Catfish Haul 20120526

Walljig... Nice cats! We went fishing again this weekend and only ended up with six. To my great surprise though, one of the ones that broke my line last weekend we ended up catching again! He still had the hook in his mouth and my line and swivel!! I was shocked. JMichael, Did you get the...

am i running my motor too.high or too low

Well I'm still confused. Raised my motor up to where my cavitation plate is about an inch below the transom. Lost tons of speed with just me...but with a buddy in the front, gained a few MPH. :| I assume that means I need more weight in the front to run my motor that high..but should I run...

    Catfish Haul 20120526

Its a Berkly knife. I wouldn't recommend it. Its a 110 model but it also has battery terminal connections. Its convenient..but doesn't perform like I would hoped. The sad thing is it was supposed to be a pretty good one. aeviaanah: I don't know about shad..but we used the liver flavored...

    Catfish Haul 20120526

Thanks! I hate when they get away! We went Sunday night and caught three more. None were really picture worthy though. Oh and we caught a baby on a 000 hook! it was about 4 inches long!

    Catfish Haul 20120526

For being a holiday weekend ...not a decent haul for one night. Lost a few. One was big enough to straighten a hook. Used liver flavored powerbait chunks. They seemed to work really well.

Got a new old motor Sunday! Its a 74 Johnson 25HP SeaHorse. It is a long shaft so I've been working on a home made manually adjustable jack plate. I will be posting pictures later of it. I did not paint this motor...in fact I can't wait to repaint it.

    Motor movement ...beware!

Just thought I'd post about my latest motor issues I had yesterday. So..I decided to trade my 15 HP Evinrude (1976) for a 25 HP Johnson to a guy about three hours away from me. I loaded up the 15 and hit the road. Finally got to the guys house and went to put my motor on the back of a boat...

Stability is not an issue for me with WOT. I really prefer the pedestal seat in the back. I think its a 16". Mine isnt a speed demon either.
