Gday guys, Im new to the site and have seen lots of your mods. They look awesome! Anyway, I have a 10ft Stacer and I was wondering if you guys know if it would be safe to remove the middle seat or if that would cause bouyancy issues! Thanks very much for any input!

Welcome to Tinboats.

Good looking boat you got there.

The middle seat doesn't affect bouyancy unless it's packed with foam, and the boat were to get swamped.

Thanks! The seat is packed with foam but I only every use it at the dam and I dont think it will be going under anytime soon. Might be time to start modifications then :D

Agree with Brine about the boyancy.....but by removing that seat, you could create a structural problem. I'm pretty sure by looking at the pic that it's holding the sides as well as the sides holding it.

It may be better if I just do the modifications over the top of the seat then. It will be much safer that way anyway I believe.
