12 ft seaking battery installation

hello all,

I finally took the plunge (no pun intended) and purchased a TM and a battery. Finally no more rowing!
Does anybody have any advice on how to attach a battery to 12 ft seaking v hull? Just bench seats with no frills.
I just don't want to pollute the water if I do tip it over.

Battery weighs 59 lbs so it would sink like a rock.
Any advice is appreciated.

Just make darn sure your battery is in a plastic battery box with the cover so no battery acid gets on the alum when charging. You can buy any kind to battery strap/hold down and secure solid to the hull.

to get a battery box was my next question. should make it easier to attach to the boat too.
