You have done a great job so far, from what I can see. Just work on it when you can.

The end results are the biggest thing. Safe and solid, no matter how long it takes. Thanks for sharing!

Before you get too far you might want to change the trolling motor so the head does not stick out past the side of the boat. Don’t want that banging against docks.
It doesn't quite stick out past the side. It's just barely inside the rail but it is inside. I was concerned about that when mounting it. I mounted it by myself which isn't too bad but it was hard to get it to balance on the bow plate. It's a heavy trolling motor. Made sure to mark and measure multiple times

Well, in my first post I said I would see this thing through the end. It's been a rough year. Couple of deaths in the family and just got busy with life in general. I did manage to complete the boat but just as i was finished my mother passed so I never was able to get it in the water.

After a major headache of wiring to get everything connected she fired and ran in the driveway. I have a yamaha outboard and all the gauges were yamaha plug and play type gauges. I installed all new aftermarket gauges which while nice, do not play well with old wiring harnesses. So I ended up having to rewire everything from scratch. Which, realistically, is probably better to have all new and complete wiring thoroughout the boat.

I also ended up cutting a few hatch lids a tad to tight so had to pull a bit of carpet back to trim the lids to fit better. Two of them are still a bit tight but I would rather have that than have them fly open going down the road😳

I am terrible at documenting this stuff so here are the last few pics. Hopefully when I do another one, I can remember to take more pics and notes along the way for a better story line. But, this is my first time doing both the boat and the forum activity so there is much to learn.

These arent the best pics but she's all covered up in the shop now so anything better will have to wait until spring. I will try to maybe get a few more detailed pics and hopefully the first fish on the newly restored boat as soon as ice comes off the water this spring!!
