 197? montgomery ward sea king 12'v-hull fishing boat

i am a new embr i have a ol 12 footer im converting into a bass boat. i have already put it on galvinized trailer. i also bought a johnson sailmaster 6hp longshaft. after buying it i relized my boat is short shaft!

so bought the th minijacker plate and the boat rides great so far
its still a little hard to get it to plane out by myself. my boat is very light
i havent tried it with another person up front. that might help but i usually fish alone.
so i thinking of building a floor and deck area with storage.
but im also worried that after i that it may be too heavy.

i want to add a small livewell tank and built in small cooler. i have a hummingbird fishfinder and electic trolling motor to install still. plus ill want 2 or 3 batteries with me...

any ideas of how to start my build ? frameing ideas for vhulls? give me info on my weight issue? please help!!!!! ha ha thanks in advance!

 yaknow..i do have pics i just took today of the boat after a trip out.
only prloblem i cant get my pics to upload/dont know how maybe??

I had a 12' SeaKing, it was my first rebuild. Best advice is to keep it simple, forget the livewell and front deck. Make a nice low floor and keep the center of gravity very low. Build your gas tanks and battery into the seats, try to run everything from one battery to cut down on weight. Try to put the battery up front and the gas in the middle and if you can fashion some type of small storage hatch in the very front by the V, you'll be in good shape.

ya i relize now after fully loading the rig for 2 people,i relize its way slower because of extreme hull drag. thinkin of upsizing my johnson 6hp to my evinrude 9.9. this may help the speed.
I love the idea of building into the seats. but i think there is foam under seat benches.
if thats gone will it float any lower.
p.s my 9.9 needs help if you know the omc engines lemme know!
NEW PLANS:
*stringers off the side of boat for light weight livewell lol
*look for a smaller 3 gal tank (if such thing) and build it into back or middle seat
*im gonna run a motorcyce battery built into seat also. way lighter then marine battery
* only take trolling motor when alone with bigger battery for bow weight
*build lightweight thin 1/2 in floor with lightweight support under it
*add cd player and 2 6 in round speakers
*STILL NEED HELP FIXING MY LEAKY RIVETS BEFORE BUILDING CARPET FLOOR

I ALSO CAN UPLOAD PICS. SAYS MY FILE IS TOO BIG??? HELP!

The method I used was to flip the boat over to get to the bottom of it.
It's a whole lot easier to work on that way. Pressure wash dirt and loose paint off.
Use a drill with a wire brush to get pealing paint off.
If a rivet is loose, have someone help you in the inside to re-buck it.
Use 3M's 5200 sealer on each rivet on the outside. Paint it.
Flip it back over and re-install everything and fish it.
Here is the link to my build. :)

I had a sea king like yours. 3 seats and the front one was worthless. I would put a transom mount electic on the front with a battery sitting on the front bench seat. then a small raised floor (2-4 inches) off the bottom of the floor to give you a flat spot to stand in the front of the boat and then a seat attached to the middle bench with a raised (7") pedestal, middle bench back another floor and then put a 5/8" ply on top of the rear bench to the back of the boat with a small pedestal here too. A 3 gallon gas tank is a great idea especially if it will fit between the transom and the rear bench, you can get the 3 gallon at academy sports.
