Started with a 2005 basic jon I bought from a friend. He had built a deck on it using 3/4" plywood and pressure treated lumber.Rock solid, but the boat was tremendously bow heavy.I wasn't real happy about some of the things he did,so off it went.I redesigned the new deck using aluminum, and used 1/2" exterior grade plywood(treated with 3 coats of polyurethane).I also added a floor between the seats and carpeted the whole thing. Also added deck latches to gain storage under the deck.Still some things I want to add(outboard, bigger trolling motor, new fish finder/GPS,etc...),but overall I'm happy with it.Got a lot of ideas from this site,so Thank You guys!

looks pretty sweet man. Do you have any pictures of the work you did as you were doing it?

Yes I do.They were taken on a camera phone,I'm going to try to load them on here.

Nice work. How stable is she in the water when you are up on the deck?

Not bad..Takes some getting used to,especially when someone is fishing from the back.I certainly wont be break-dancing on it though....LOL..

Some pics from the assembly..sorry,pics aren't the best...but I think you get the idea..
