FIRST POST! I bought a 1999 Alumacraft 1436 with a 2002 trailer, 1889 Johnson 15 hp, Hummingbird fish finder, and 41 lb thrust for $850! I am hoping I got a good deal! However, my dilemma is the design. I have two in mind and the only difference in the rear seat. My brother and I will be fishing together and weigh about 430 lbs together! My two choices are:

I am afraid of stability issues.. Any advice would be nice!a
Thanks!

If I had to choose between the two you posted, I would pick the second one, minus about half of the wood. It seems like all that wood would make for alot of extra weight. Here is a link to my current project: https://www.tinboats.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=22621 , and here is a link to my previous boat: https://www.tinboats.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=22602. Hopefully these will help you with some ideas for your build.

Man that's an old motor! Just kidding, I know you meant 1989. I like the 2nd one better of those two. There's lots of great builds on here for inspiration.

Final design..
The dark sharpie is the decking, the white squares are the seat mounts, the white towards the front in the trolling motor foot control, and the smaller holes are the hatch pulls. Think it is too much weight? What are yall's opinions on treated OSB?
