I have a 1456 steel homemade flat bottom jon. its a great boat, although a bit heavy, the weight is useful in swifter river current. i currently operate a 6hp evinrude, but am upgrading to a 25 hp at end of mod. as of now my plans for the boat are to sand/grind cheap linex that was applied to exterior, apply STEELFLEX, paint, then start buliding decking. there are a few small welds that leak, but i can mig those right back. i plan to utilize the boat as much as possible during mod. but the rest is still undecided as to floor plan and decking type.

as of now the only pic i have is below, but will have more posted in the days to come.

i have used this site a a valuable resource, in the beginning plans of mine, and hope someone else can use a ti from mine.
thanks to the site

any advice is GREATLY appreciated as this is my first attempt at anything like this

does it have foam in it, i would be leery about building to much in you don't want it to heavy

no foam now, but i was going to add 2.5 inches in floor under decking and fill all dead space
