16' Flat bottom & 50hp Yamaha - Central FL

Hi,
I'm selling my 16' flat bottom jon (48" on the water, 72" across the top), galv trailer and 50hp Yamaha (2 stroke, trim/tilt).

I've had a lot of work done, and completed a lot myself over the years, below is a brief summary. Feel free to contact me with questions, for more pics, or to take a look at it. It's a great all around boat, flats fishing, gator hunting, duck hunting or bow fishing... Everything is aluminum, except the transom, which is original.

- 4' elevated front deck, nav lights recessed, removable trolling motor mount
- front hatch for semi dry storage
- aluminum floor (.125"), welded subfloor bracing between ribs
- custom center console, battery selector switch/wiring/trays for 2 batterys, switches (nav lights/bilge), 12v outlets, fire extinguisher
- poling platform
- fuel/water separator
- custom fixed jackplate/bracket
- bilge pump (hull has Wearlon Wetlander coating, but has very small leak)
- 9 gal poly fuel tank mounted under front deck
- newish paint, looks very good

Engine has approx 15 hrs on new rings/pistons/gaskets/carb job. Runs good, SS prop, light load will run 35+, running premix non-eth.

Love the boat. I just had a question about the platform on the back- I'm looking at putting a polling platform on the back of a boat and was just curious of how stable it is. Also, how tall is it?

Thanks for the compliment.

The poling platform itself doesn't move, its 1.75" tubing. Standing on top, I think it's very stable, but that really has more to do with the width of the boat/height of platform. I've had a platform on a 1436 boat and would consider that a little tippy.

The underside of the frame is 27" above the top of the transom. I have always had them just high enough to tilt the outboard up under it. The height is very helpful to see fish when poling, but you've got to remember that if you can see them, they can see you... higher is not always better.
