Well here is my new project. A 1989 Starcraft deep v. It has a 40 hp Johnson on the back nice motor but now power trim. It has a raised casting platform with a live well and storage compartment. The po put in new floors and carpet and mounted the console all weird with rivits. The livewell pump and bilge are not connected. No lights or cleats. So I found a 16ft Lowe sea nymph and got four seats, bases, minn Kota 55lb bow mount, 4 cleats (all stainless), bow and stern lights ( the recepticles and posts) stainless gas tank, rod holders, and windshield for $370. Right now I'm just slapping the boat together soo can fish the Detroit river for walleye and the walley opener here on the Saginaw river in a couple weeks. I already took the boat in to our local boat dealer and they went through the motor and they said it is in great shap. I just need to wire, finish putting seats in, mount trolling motor and Lowrance x67c, and lights then I'll fish it.

Plans starting June will be complete tear down new carpet and console (have newer style plastic molded one) repaint the boat, recover seats to match, vinyl main floor with snap in carpet, removable pad to match for the bow, and a lot of work to the trailer. I want it to look almost exactly like a 2014 starweld 16 sc but it will say Starcraft in the same font. I have an hvlp gun and compressor I will paint it with.

Well my little brother came over last night and we cranked the boat out seats mounted and most of the boat is wired. Now time to fish! Oh mounted my Lowrance X67c too!

Here is the bow of the boat. Not too bad for a quick job. Got seats, trolling and big motor mounted and set, new fish finder, battery's and boxes mounted bow and stern, all of the wiring done and made new harnesses for the trolling motor and the bilge & livewell pumps.

Centersection with the crappy console I will be taking out and rebuilding. I plan on recovering the seats to match too.

I took it out yesterday and fished all night for the walleye opener for 9 hours straight. So it was one hell of a breakin run. Not bad but the big motor needs a bit of work and I think the livewell intake leaks a bit. Had about 4 gal of water come out. Should have flicked on the bilge! Here is a pic of the stern. Excuse the messy garage.
