Had a question or two for the group. Pics are of a 1954 feathercraft 15'. I'm trying to make sure the boat can be insured in louisiana before I make the drive to see it.

I have never had a hull like this. I'm used to flat boats.

With this hull, should I expect it to plane or is it more of a plow? I would guess it is going to draft pretty deep?

I is either the "Chief" or the "Favorite". It has been a family boat since new.

What should I know before considering this cool old boat.

The catalog says the beam is 57.5".

I found this picture online of the same model boat. I think the pics make it look narrower than it is.
