Beautiful, painstaking work! Nicely done.

My '56 Alumacraft has the tranverse floor braces as well. I don't stand up much in the boats, but still found my feet catching on the ribs often enough to mandate a very simply floor covering for walking in the center of the boat. I didn't build cabinets, wedged exterior ply. Made all the difference.

Continue to endeavor! You said it's been a PITA, but you are showing some skills there, and in your description, there's a fair amount of pride in your work. I think you enjoyed it. :)

Excelsior!!! =D>

Lol thanks allot. Ima do what you did use some wood just in the middle on the floor. Ill continue this journal eventually and do that along with other simple modifications. Lol at times i hated the boat, at times i loved it. Omce its finished ill be very proud of my self. I had a vision for this boat when i bought it and to actually see it come to tuition just as envisioned is satisfying.

Paints hardened. Flipped boat over. Working on the transom now. Need to use spar varnish on it before i install it. I need to do some touching up on paint on a couple spots too.

I need to install the bench seats woth out scratching the interior paint. Or atleast not scratching it too bad.

My outboard is running good had it running in garbage can recently. Cant wait to finish

The boat looks flat out fantastic. Nice work.

Also, those grab handles are so damn cool! They don't design em like that anymore.

WOW! Your build is amazing! =D>

Attention to detail.... It's like most people say they're going to do their build.... Then start taking shortcuts, myself included, you stayed the course! Would love to see a video of it out on the water!

thanks! im so excited! lol i just took it out on the withlacoochee river today with my mom and dad.. first time ever launching a boat / using tiller outboard and man was it awesome... i took my time, launched it everything went perfect. i got a 55 pound thrust newport vessels trolling motor which helped me when docking, and to put around shallows / lilly pads.

ima upload a video to youtube and post it on here! 15 hp with about 600 pounds lol (me mom and dad) plus fuel, anchor and trolling motor battery and cooler and the boat went like 15 mph, im sure by my self it will go like 20-25 which is plenty

now ima just make a removable casting deck for just the front 2 seats, and i need to get me me fishing rod holders!

cant wait to go out by myself and get me some fish! ive been dreaming of a cooler full of mangrove snapper
