I was wondering how easy or difficult is is to find parts for this. Guy says it ran fine when he took it out but the wiring will need to be redone. So it will have to go to the shop. What do you guys think? This will be for a 14 ' alum v hull . Thanks for any help

For me, pre '72 engines are more collector motors than functional motors. Now, mind you, I am an outboard collector, so you will see me with older engines, but they aren't my main engines to get me through a tourney or something. I do trust some of the older ones for that, such as my main motor being a '75, and getting used once a week at the absolute minimum, and commonly fishing tourneys, but you won't see anything older than '72 as my main runner, aside from something in the 18 and under hp range.

I would probably pass on that motor.
