Hello All,

Here is my first boat a 1966 Starcraft, unsure of model name. Its funny because I purchased my second boat a week later. The boat pictured below was pulled out of Wagner, SC on the Edisto river. You can tell its beat up pretty good, but I like a challenge.

What I have:

1.) 14' 1966 Starcraft V-Hull Jon ($200.00)
2.) Boat trailer
3.) 12' 1965 Starcraft V-Hull Jon
4.) Mercury Trolling Motor ($300.00)

Total investment ($500.00)

Here are the before pictures, 90% of the boats paint is stripped down as of 8/30.

Thanks lctalurus,

I am hoping it will work out. Several minor cracks in the hull and three major cracks. Keel has one, one rib towards the back, and the transom has a ten inch crack. I am using my resources to correct these items. My school district welding teacher will weld all the bad spots next week. Then framing inside with aluminum square tubing. Thinking about diamond plate for the decking, my friend works in metal sales in charlotte. 4x8 sheet 1/8 thick for $133.00, sounds like a steal. Thats the "friends and family" price. The previous owners fiber glassed over all the rivets. Its been giving me a fit.

Trailer is almost complete. College football has taken up most of my time. Who would have thought Clemson would be 5-0 at this pont! Go Tigers!!
