This is my first renovation. I learned a lot from this forum before finally putting my plan into action. I used as much found material as possible including an old metal shelving unit as the framing for the front deck and a wooden frame from a bed for the support on the back deck. All in all very happy with the reno and ready to hit the water!

Here is the interior after sand, prime and paint.

Because the seats had been previously removed, I needed a way to make the front deck secure without attaching anything to the hull. I used the frame from an old shelving unit, attached with nuts and bolts and riveted to the base cross beams of the floor.

Added the front deck as well as support for the back deck using a reclaimed bed frame that was actually pretty light.

All the carpet on. New seats added. Rod holders riveted to the sides and two hatch doors to access under storage! Ready to hit the water!

I dig it. Looking to do something similar with an old 13.8 Semi V I got.

Thanks! I am a rookie here but let me know if there is anything I can pass along info wise to help!

Did you add any foam after you removed the seats? That's one thing I plan on doing as I will be fishing the intercostal here in Florida. Hate to loose it incase I swamp it.

I like how you used what you had to get it done. The finished product looks great. The use of the bed frame works for sure. Enjoy the fishing! I'm a long ways out on my build right now and wish I was on the water with it...check it out if your looking for more ideas.

Actually the seats were long gone before I ever got the boat so I am not sure if they had foam in them prior. I did line the floor in the front storage with the silverboard foam insulation. I have heard of people using that in the boat. I think the main thing is to find something that wont soak up a ton of water over time.
