Well this is my first boat and so far I am very happy with it. Its a 1971 Yazoo 15' 38" bottom 57" beam. I had to remove the front deck to get to the floor which was rotten, also had a spot in the middle where the floor was rotten. So I thought I would take everything out and start from scratch. Once everything was removed I took it to river and she flies on the water with nothing in her. I got a 1978 Mercury 200 20hp which seems to be plenty of power. This will be a slow build for me but I figure Ill take my time and enjoy the restoration, I do more catfishing and crappie fishing so I dont think ill put the front deck back on, just the flooring with carpet. maybe a livewell and baitwell. Ill post updates as I complete more. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated. If anyone has any info on this boat please post from what I can tell its rated for a 20hp and seats 3-4, not sure though since there is only the MFG plate with the serial number and model number.
