So I was wondering if yall know what I should look for? I have this 78' model Johnson 25hp motor that runs real good, except at full throttle, to get full throttle I have to hold the choke lever all the way out. This makes it difficult since it is a tiller handle and both hands on the engine, it puts me facing backwards from the direction I am traveling and makes my neck awlfull stiff, Any ideas on what to look for? I was thinking it might have a clogged jet in the carb, but just not forsure. Would like some better expertise advice. THANKS

That usually means the carb either needs cleaning or rebuilding. First, check a few things just to make sure:

1. Fresh gas and mix
2. Check fuel line for cracks or dry rot
3. Make sure vent on your gas tank is open
4. If the above doesn't help, then a cleaning is in order for the carb.

Let us know if anything changes...

Try pumping your primer bulb.May have a bad fuel pump, but agree with the rest, a fuel problem
Yep, usually what your problem means is that the motor isn't getting enough fuel at wide open throttle; hence you having to pull the choke to keep it running.
