Traded a 14' Polar Kraft for this 1980 Bass Tracker II with a Mercury 35hp. Doing a complete gut job.

Oh my. I can't believe that I just came across your post. I am also completely redoing my 1980 Bass Tracker II also with a 35hp Johnson on it. So far I have completely gutted the boat, taken it off the trailer, and have started stripping the trailer to restore it.
I will be watching your rebuild closely, good luck.
