1980 Bass Tracker III Restoration/Refresh

Hello all. My first post here and big plans moving forward although slowly at first.

I just acquired this boat from my wife's uncle who is getting a bit older and was having a hard time getting in and out of the boat due to his knees. He offered it to us (We haven't agreed on a final price, but somewhere $1000-1200). He purchased the boat in 1982 from the original owner and has owned the boat from 1982 until 2 weeks ago.

My plan is to go through it and restore the seats, some of the carpet areas and next year upgrade it to a 4 stroke. I also plan to strip the exterior/repaint and repaint the trailer/new tires w/vintage hubcaps.

You've got good potential there. Take a good look at the wood in the transom. I would expect that it's weak and allowing the aluminum to flex hence the stress cracking.
