Some pics of my winter project. Made it into a brown trout! Third time down this road with various boats. First time with a tin boat. Some fun steps involved; Stripping paint (ugh] cleaning aluminum, rebucking some rivits, Gluviting rivits, dulling down the gulvit, priming, painting, templating decks, planning, then building deck frames, and decks, then painting both twice, fitting hatch doors, wrapping decks with Nautalex vinyl, cutting and attaching piano hinges, and mounting anchor winch. WHEW! Now, on to reattaching graph and accessories and doing some ice fishing, til I can get it back in the water!

Added a couple pics of the anchor winch installed and finished with wiring completed, etc. BTW, I like the Nautolex vinyl so far. Looks durable and just a little more difficult than carpet. The main thing with it is spacing hatches as tight as possible, while not allowing excessive rubbing between door and deck, while opening and closing the hatches. Cut the doors carefully, and allow for the vinyl AND hinge widths. Have both vinyl and hinges on hand before final cutting your hatch doors; to ensure correct spacing. I used two 36"stainless hinges off Amazon, and cut to length with a hack saw too make all 4 hatch hinges.
