I aquired a 1982 Sea Nymph 14 ft. jon boat that belonged to my late grandfather. I decided to restore it since it would be staying in the family for years to come.

:WELCOME: to Tinboats Kyjon!

You did a great job painting the boat. Have you taken it out with the seat posts installed yet? If it is too unstable consider mounting just your swivels on the seats.

Any thoughts on something to push it down river? Motor?

I just purchased a Minn Kota Endura C2 40lb thrust trolling motor. It's mainly for a local lake that prohibits gas engines. Hopefully it will be on the mater next week.

I thought about making an access hole under the benches for storage but the benches are full of foam so as of this time there isn't any extra storage. Il playing around with the idea of a casting deck which would give me some storage but I am worried about the boat being too narrow.

check out my build! (in my signature)...

i have a 12ft and its just under 4ft wide at its widest point... i LOVE my casting deck and was really surprised how stable it is! also i am going to be looking into putting a hatch in my back bench for fishing tackle storage
