After several months of reading and researching, I finally decided to dive in and replace the deck, carpet, seats and trolling motor. Also going to repaint and add new decals to the motor. I bought this boat brand new in "86 and it has held up well but needs a good makeover. Looking forward to the project!!! These are a few pictures before the demo starts.

Nice! Are you going to change the layout at all? I imagine using a boat for so long would give you a pretty good feel for what you'd like to see changed.

How fast does she run with the 70HP?

More demo on the boat only to find the transom is shot too. Borrowed a friends engine hoist and removed the motor. Going good so far. Wife was a big help removing the foam and getting it cleaned out! More Pictures.

Started working on the boat again after several weeks. I was able to get the plywood cut and dry fitted, decals removed and found some new seats that are going to match up well. $29.00 at Academy Sports was not a bad price either!

One question about the bilge area. Is it better to coat it with some sort of paint or epoxy or just leave it bare?

Greetings,

I was wondering if you had any additional (post repair) pics of your Sea Nymph TX 175 restore project? I have an 89 Tournament Tx175 that I need to do some restore work on. I'd be interested in seeing how yours turned out... and hearing any stories/advice that you might have concerning the project.

Thanks,
Pwells

Are there any further updates? I'd love to see more pictures because I have this same boat. Thanks!

Nice boat. Look forward to seeing it finished. Those are the same seats I have now. My wife sits in one like in the picture & I have the matching butt seat. Not bad for the money.
