1987 Johnson 9.9

Guy on CL wants $725. He says it has low hours and is in excellent condition. Tank and hose included.

Is this a reasonable price for this motor?

Seems a little on the high end. If this is for your new 1542, and your not looking for a motor to fish lakes w/ a hp limit, I'd go with a 15 to 20. You might find the 9.9 just won't have the juice on the 15', especially if you keep heading down that sweet river and into Lake Ontario :lol:

Yes, that's a good point but used and reasonably priced 25 hp seem to be few and far between on CL. I do have my eye on one though.
