1989 16.5 alumacraft transom repair question

anyone ever repaired a 1989 16.5 alumacraft classic transom. Dealer stated 1200 to 1500. Sounded high to me. Have done some smaller boats with basic transoms. Boat priced low to make up for transom repair. Looking To buy it. Looks hard to get at . Anyone know what I would be up against if I were to buy. Thanks. First time on line with tinboats. Have seen many great remodels. Very Cool.

There's been a lot of discussion over the last few weeks on repairing transoms. I don't know what it will curtail for the boat your looking at, but at least you could get a general idea for the work involved.
