Hi,
I'm new here and stumbled across this site on a Google search. Hats off to all of you that refuse to let good old boats die!
I'm doing my third deck job, this time on a Sea Nymph Striper 191. I bought the boat knowing the floor had to be torn out and done right. The fellow before me said "replaced the deck with 3/4 treated" but what I didn't know was how badly it was cobbed up. The live wells were decked over the deck forward of the console was cut out or mostly anyway some treated 2x4's scabbed in for suport and from the console to the back was simply covered up the all was carpeted. this may have gotten him by for awhile. The starter went out a couple years ago then the fellow let it sit along the garage.
I've determined that like in many other cases the boat was left out uncovered for 3/4 of it's life and simply rotted away.
The youtube link from when I bought the boat is the only "before" pictures I have: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRBW2S2aKOY and here are some pics thus far...I hope.
