It's been sitting in the garage for 15 years. I need it for a jon boat, so I am trying to get it running. I told the wife I would give it my best so I don't have to buy another one.
I put in a new water pump today, downloaded a manual and it was terrible about removing the lower unit, all it was good for was the pump itself. disconnecting the linkage wasn't even close to what I had to do. Anyways, I've got it back together, now when I put it in forward{not running} the prop will turn, but in reverse it jams up and wont turn at all. Does anybody have an idea of what I did wrong? It was a very good motor when I used it, so really would like to get it running.
