I've been searching various forums and Texas Craiglists for months now.

... I finally pulled the trigger !

This place has been such an inspiration and given me so many great ideas.
I was just so excited I wanted to share the news.

It's already been dropped off at 'storage.'
But I should be able to get some pics of it sometime this weekend.

Man, you could have a party in that thing.

Oh, I know.
I'm thinking casting deck, live well, double gas tanks, poling platform, etc. hahaha.

Nice find. No stability issues on that boat! :LOL2:

Yeah. It's HUGE.
You should how it looks pulled by my Nissan Frontier. hahaha.
Hell, look at it compared to the 14' next to it.

This weekend I am going to start my planning.
Something simple. Something efficient.
I'm going to literally sit in the boat and decide what I want.

I may sell the boat. =/

A. The boat is big.
The boat is big when being pulled behind my truck.
The boat is big when trying to get up in small creeks.
The boat is big while sitting stored.

B. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for.
It's my first boat.
It was an absolute impulse buy.
Saw the ad, went to see it, price was really good.

C. I've gotten an offer on it.
I've gotten a fairly good offer.
I've been e-mailing a guy for about a week now.
He contacted the owner who forwarded him to me - awfully weird and nice of him.
Well, he saw the boat. He wants the boat.

Hmmph.
Duuun, duuun, duuuuuuuuun !

I like the boat.

But I could make a few bucks.
Enough bucks + a little bit more and I could buy a 'finished' boat.
One that I wouldn't have to put so much work into. You know.

if ya can make a few bucks and dont like the boat go for it

i'd do alot of things for a rig like that

Sounds like your mind is made up from this end, but I'll do anything I can to talk you out of it! That is an awesome boat, and while right now it might seem big, you'll miss it if you fish big waters. Hell just today I almost swamped my 1648 in a pretty small lake.. other people aren't considerate of your boat size.. thats for sure.

I really with I could take that motor off your hands... its exactly what I'm looking for =P~
