Hi everyone. I'm new to this site. Just found it when I started working on my boat. It's a 2000 Smokercraft 16'. It's kind of beat up from taking it out in rough water. Lots of screws have back out and the boat lost its rigidity so the rivets needs bucked. The plan is as follows, we'll see how it goes:
-Strip the boat down and buck the rivets
-Paint the inside with gluvit and the bottom of the hull with a bedliner type material from durabek
-Then rebuild using more bracing than it originally had
-Filling uder deck sections with a spray or two part foam (leaving room for drainage to the bilge)
-Re-decking with a composite board.
-Vinyl on the main deck and carpet everywhere else
Anyone see any problems with the game plan? I'm open to ideas before I waste time and money. Thanks.
