Well, a deal is a deal is a deal...but, I don't think it has anything to do with the guy not finding time to use it.

It more than likely has something to do with this being one of the last 2 stroke outboard motors Yamaha will build. So I've heard. I suspect there are quite a few of these motors that will be for sale far below "retail" from guys that work (or know someone who works) for Yamaha.

In either case, it's sounds like a good deal with the stands as a bonus.

I myself will buy a brand new motor with a warranty before ill save a few bux buying one that is in reality shelf used... If i was buying i wouldn't spend more than 1k on it, as i can get a brand new 10 4 stroke for 2k.. I always weigh the figures. In reality, I probbaly wouldn't even consider a 8hp motor for 1k.. Just IMO...
