New to the site, just found it a few weeks back on Pinterest after buying a new flat bottom at Academy. Didn't really have plans to do any mods but after finding all the things that folks have done I made a trip to the store and started building! I'm still working on it but just need to add some hinges and run some electrical to be ready for the maiden voyage. Just want to say great site and show a few pictures of the progress.

Sorry for the sideways pictures, still trying to figure that part of posting out.

For now it's gonna be "with luck" a crappie and bass lip rippin good time then come fall converted into a duck slaying floating blind.

So far the Coleman has ran fine on the stand. I ran it several hours like the owners manual said the changed the oil. Haven't had it or the boat out on the water yet since going straight into modification after getting home. I got a good deal at Academy on the motor it was a clearance price so $800 was hopefully well spent.

Weather and work finally lined up and got to take the boat out. The Coleman motor worked great. I was really surprised at the speed with only 5hp, 2 adults, ice chest, 3extra gallons of gas rods and tackle. Definantly not gonna ski behind it but for a 14 foot fishing/hunting boat it will certainly get the job done. The initial start up for the day took several pulls but it had sat for about a month, the rest of the day it started on the first or second pull. I think it will be a good motor for the money.
