Nice! Hello there fellow SeaHorse Brother! Love the look of these vintage motors!

I head out Saturday morning to get mine.

Question, do all the 57' have the white top on the cowl? All the ones I have seen online do, but his he sent me pics of as you can see solid Red. Maybe it's not really a 57' then?

But I can't wait to dive in and get started on this beauty and get it running!
 
Got the motor home and put on a stand, I tried to pull the chord just to see, but it is really tight, am i not doing something right?

He pulled it when i went to pick it up, didnt notice him straining to much.

Also side note, when i got the motor home i checked the Model Number RD-18, so he was right with his original statement, it IS a 1956 Johnson 30 HP

Ordered my repair parts, found at marineengine.com for much less than i was expecting, was told just about under $200, got out for about $107 :)
